When one of my best friends from China called me this morning and told me he was having a fever. It is not hard for me to relate to the coronavirus bursting in mainland China. He told me in order to keep himself feel better he poured water to clean his face. I can feel the worries from his tone, so I myself want to represent his situation at that time.
The place I chose is in front of a mirror, instead of facing the camera to the mirror, I chose to keep it under me, so the water from my hair and face and drop down directly into the lens. I put myself in the middle to keep sure that all the concentration is on my head. I used black & white and vignette effects to present worries and hopelessness. I used a face mask to present I am "ill". And my action is re-putting the mask on because the virus is contagious.
The implied timeframe is the motion I put the mask on and the water is dripping down from my face and hair.
The character in the image is a "suspected case of the viral coronavirus" inspired by my real-life friend who is having a fever, one possible symptom of the virus. From his eyes, it is worry and unbelieving. I also set the dripping water element on the character, by pouring water from my hairs and face, in order to show the distress. The face mask is essential since it is a barrier to prevent the virus from the outside world and help the character himself to quarantine himself in front of his family.
The picture was taken in my bathroom where I put the camera into the washbasin and covered a glass from my frame to avoid water going splashing the camera. I also put a direct light on the top of the glass to increase the shutter speed in order to get the effect of the dripping water. I also opened the tap and let the water drip onto the glass to have a blurry flare effect. The whole setting looks like this.

The props I need is a face light, a towel, a sheer of glass and water.
