Week 4

Since last time's experience with Metahuman, I realized the potiention and the amazing details Metahuman could provide. Even the avatar isn't that like me (I believe it was the scanning problem) but I still managed to use the avatar I created and stick to unreal + metahuman this time. First step was to use Quixel Bridge to import the metahuman avatar into the scene. Gladly now Metahuman is powerful enough to embed every data and functions. I searched for tutorials about how to lipsync my metahuman avatar but I found the tech is advanced enough I could real-time face control my avartar with my phone

The process isn't hard, on my phone I just need to open the app and fill in my computer's IP4 address and check Live Link in Unreal5 everything is set.

These two video shows how my real-time face capture turns to metahuman animation. I was really surprised since this was my first time experiencing real-time rendering and I felt like a grandpa. Still, it is so cool to play with metahuman and unreal 5
