Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Time Wasted" by Kaiwen Chen
After spending two mornings trying to get one pair of the new Yeezys and failed eventually, I found out how time-wasting it is. Since I've wasted such time, I should do something to make the time worth. So, I have a plan of making a digital collage--consists up by screenshots of releasing time counts like this:
After Gathered more than two hundred of screenshots, I started to sketch my idea out.
After discussing with my course professor, I think making a digital version of my concept is not enough challenging. So I planned to make a physical version. After 6 hour's preparing and elaborated working, I finally finished the physical version.
My aesthetic reference came from Balenciaga's newspaper collection:
I hope my work can evoke people's awareness of cherishing the time. Putting those screenshots which have time countdown on it made the shoe actually a metaphor of "time". Getting one pair of them needs a lot of time, making one of them also need to spend a huge amount of time. We should spend more time on more meaningful things instead of getting a shoe.
