“Pop-up Me” - My first made 3D Model

This is my first 3D model project using Autodesk Maya. The model is a head portrait of myself

Before rushing into the modeling process, knowing the characteristics of my face is very important. Thus, I took two pictures as my modeling reference and also sketched my ears and eyes to help me better understand the anatomy of my facial organs.

  • Completed a novel full-individual project

Future Improvements

  • Get into the habit of save the project regularly.

  • Plan the steps I need to have before sculpting it.

  • Double check the poly faces/sides/vertices before doing any actions (merge, join, add to polygon, etc)

  • Keep practice with the software.
